Controlled Shipping

The customer complaint processes are usually defined in quality assurance agreements. If non-conforming products are delivered, the so-called Controlled Shipping is usually defined as a requirement.

Controlled Shipping Level 1 (CSI)
In the case of the CSI, the customer defines characteristics in which the supplier must carry out an additional 100% inspection in addition to the agreed inspection rounds. Deliveries with such a 100% test are usually marked with special labels.

Controlled Shipping Level 2 (CSII)
For the CSII, the characteristics specified by the customer for whom a 100% check is to be performed are to be carried out by an external service provider. This test / sorting must be documented and the packaging must be marked separately.

Controlled Shipping Level 3 (CSIII)
In the case of the CSIII, the customer requests the supplier to commission an additional service provider / engineer in addition to the external sorting company. This is to ensure that no further defective products are delivered. Also, this should accompany the problem-finding and shutdown process step by step.
